Joseph Hubertus Pilates: La biografia (Italian Edition)

Javier Pérez Pont and Esperanza Aparicio Romero have been professional dancers for more than 15 years, working as soloists and directors in several European companies. In 1994 they discovered the Pilates body conditioning method. Javier and Esperanza moved to New York to study with the legendary Romana Kryzanowska and her daughter Sari Mejia Santo. I have been for a little while at the end of these two students to improve their knowledge and achieve the Level II, becoming international trainers of the organization.

At the end of 1999 he decides to return to Spain and settles in Barcelona. He made this city the seat of the first Pilates studio in Spain, approved and supported by his two instructors. In 2002 he launched the certification program for instructors in Spain under the tutelage of the two instructors mentioned above.

In 2005 they published “The Authentic Pilates Method, The Art of Control” with Editorial Planeta, being a bestseller not only in Spain but in all Spanish-speaking America. In 2012 Javier and Esperanza published a collection of seven e-books with the general title “Contrology Pilates Physical Culture” with HakaBooks e-Ditions on the technique of the method and the equipment. Available in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

At this moment Javier Pérez Pont is still working on the second part of the “Biography” and on a new book dedicated to the research of the ethical, moral and personal patrimony of Contrology. A journey into the depths of the origin and development of this art, which closely links the author and his work in its entirety. A new book that aims to recapture the true lost spirit of Contrology.
